Do you offer installation of products or are technicians available?

Our staff is committed to helping you find what you need. We provide installation guides directly from the manufacturers. For an installation guide please call us at 888-958-5768. If you need installation assistance, most local repair shops are able to install for you.

Do you actually manufacture the bumpers?

BuiltForTrucks.com offers a wide selection of bumpers built by top manufacturers.

Do you offer any bulk discounts to dealers, garages, and body shops?

Our dealers are required to purchase three (3) bumpers up front in order to receive our dealer price plan. We strive to keep our prices as low as possible. Please call us at 888-958-5768.

Can I just come and pick my item up from the warehouse?

If you know the part number, you can call our friendly customer care team at 888-958-5768 and they will be happy to place the order for you. Please be sure to have your payment information ready. Please note that if ordering by part number is the customer’s responsibility to provide the correct part number and application for the appropriate vehicle.

Is there an additional cost for shipping if I want to get my order faster?

We work with the top regional shipping companies in the area to provide the quickest and most efficient service for you. At this time we do not offer any expedited shipping plans. For any shipping questions call us at 888-958-5768.

How do I return a product?

Am I responsible for return shipping?

Providing the return is approved by our Returns Policy, the customer is responsible for return shipping. BuiltForTrucks.com may cover the return shipping in the rare event that it was our error you received the incorrect part.

Are there restocking fees?

The current standard restock fee is 25%.

On my order confirmation email, it states that ships from the custom warehouse in 1-3 business days. When will I actually receive my product?

The estimated time the product ships is when the item leaves the custom warehouse after processing and it usually takes another 5-7 business days for delivery from that time.

Where am I able to use coupon code?

There is an option to add your coupon code right above the “proceed to checkout button.” or at the lower part of the checkout page when ordering online. Be sure to click “Add” to enter your code. Once the order is completed, it goes directly to processing and we cannot make changes or add coupon codes. You may, however, be able to take advantage of coupon codes on future orders or take advantage of our customer referral/rewards program.

How much does shipping usually cost?

We operate on a Money-Saver Shipping policy. This means that we work to develop rates with freight shipping companies to keep our shipping low, and ship from the best location in your state and local area. Most of our shipping rates average between $75 and $250 depending on bumper, bumper weight and delivery location. The shipping rate may also vary depending on location within your state. Some customers choose to ship to a business or commercial location that can accept a semi-truck, which is almost always less expensive than shipping to a residence. Please note that we readily ship to residences as well. For any other questions about shipping, please give us a call at 888-958-5768.

Truck Freight Shipping:

BuilltForTrucks.com is proud to offer the largest selection of American-Made Truck Bumpers and More! Our offering includes products such as wheel to wheel step bars and one piece grille guards. Parts such as these are often too large to be shipping via DHL or FedEx and must be shipped via common (freight) carriers. Typical truck freight rates are from $75 - $250 depending on the product size and weight. On truck freight items you MUST note any damage to the delivered items with the freight company on the bill of lading before signing for your delivery.

I placed an order for my bumper several days/weeks ago. When will it be shipped?

When you place an order with BuiltForTrucks.com, your order goes immediately into processing and custom manufacturing. With your order confirmation email, you typically receive an estimated time that the item ships, meaning when it leaves the custom factory for shipping. If you have placed a highly customized item, this may vary. Please allow up to 7-10 business days (weekends and holidays excluded) before calling to check the status of an order in production. Once the item is shipped, you will generally receive a tracking number to track your order online.

Where do you ship?

We ship to the lower 48 contiguous states.

What if my item is lost in shipping?

We are not responsible for a package that gets lost in shipping. You must report such claims to the shipping company and BuiltForTrucks.com within 24 hours of your notice. If the freight company or shipping service (e.g. UPS, FedEx, or USPS Parcel) declares the package lost, we will be happy to ship out a replacement of the said item. Please note that we can only ship out a replacement of the item if the shipping company declares it lost and reimburses us for the loss.

What if my item is damaged in shipping?

It is the customer’s responsibility to examine the item prior to signing the shipping receipt. Our bumpers leave the warehouse in new condition and in the rare event that there is significant shipping damage (such as bent steel), the item should be refused. Please note that the bumper or product should not be refused unless there is significant damage such as bent steel. If your item was damaged during shipping, it is the customer’s responsibility to contact the shipper (e.g. UPS, FedEx, or USPS Parcel) and BuiltForTrucks.com within 24 hours of refusal of significantly damaged delivery. The actual damage claim must be filed with the shipping company and not with us.

Shipping or Freight Claims

All shipping or freight damage claims must be filed with the shipping company. All shipping or freight damage claims must be filed by the purchaser or signer at the time of delivery. Purchaser must notify shipping company and BuiltForTrucks.com within 24 hours of refusing shipment due to damage and filing a damage claim. BuiltForTrucks.com assumes no responsibility for shipping freight damage or filing shipping freight damage claims.

How long will shipping take?

Once your item is built and sent from our warehouses for shipping, it is usually received by the customer within 5-7 business days depending on location. The customer will generally receive an email which includes a tracking number to stay posted on the exact location of the item. Please note that shipping may take longer in the event of a backordered item, in the rare event that the item is lost in shipping, or if a customer ordered a product that requires freight shipping.

Is my credit card/personal information safe on your site?

Yes. BuiltforTrucks.com uses GeoTrust ® Secure SSL code and authorized seal. Your credit card information is encrypted and protected.

How can I track my order?

When the item is sent out for shipping, you will generally receive an email with the tracking number to track your item through the shipping service. Please note that if you call to track your item during shipping, we will use this tracking number to gather the same information.

Will sales tax be included in my order?

Texas Residents Only. In accordance with state law, an 8.25% sales tax will be applied to all orders delivered to Texas resident addresses. Your cart will be updated accordingly when sales taxes are applicable.

Can I cancel my order?

Because our orders go immediately into processing, it may not be possible to cancel or change your order. Please note that while we do our best to process your request through our warehouses, order cancellation is not guaranteed. All requests for cancellations must be filed within 1 hour of order placement using our order cancellation form. If we are able to process the request, order cancellations may be subject to a minimum $50.00 fee for freight and warehouse cost. Any request for cancellation or changes received after 1 hour of order placement may incur a cancellation or restock fee. Order cancellation, changes, orreturns for customer errors in choosng application, address errors, typos, etc cannot be granted unless compliant with the above 1 hour policy. Cancellations due to undeliverable addresses or  unreachable contact persons cannot be granted unless compliant with 1 hour policy. How can I claim warranty issue of an item?

Products of this nature are ensured by a manufacturer’s warranty. We are not responsible for manufacturer warranty or product defect. Items with defects that are still under warranty must be returned to the manufacturer. Manufacturer warranties are typically for exchange only. No refunds will be given. To receive contact information for your manufacturer, please call us at 888-958-5768 and we will be happy to get you in contact with them. Ranch Hand

Are your Ranch hand products available in custom paint or colors?

We offer Ranch Hand Products that are finished with a durable gloss black powder coat.

What us the difference between a Ranch Hand Legend and Sport grill guard?

The sport is made with the same quality as the Legend, but the grille insert portion in the Sports Series Grille Guard is omitted for you to mount off road lights on the pre-drilled light bar.

Will your Ranch Hand bumpers accept winches?

Our Ranch Hand winch ready front bumpers and Bullnose front ends allow you to mount a winch inside the bumper. Our standard Ranch Hand front ends and Bullnose front ends have a 2” receiver for use with a removable winch cradle. Our Ranch Hand Summit Series Front Bumpers also have an option of an H2R receiver available. Our winch ready front ends are designed to accept Warn ® brand winches.

Will Ranch Hand products swap or substitute between makes and models?

Our Ranch Hand products are make and model specific. For example, products made for the 2010 Ford F150 will only fit that Ford vehicle and so on. When the body style changes, so does the mounting and there is not a mounting kit to retrofit.

What is the measurement of the drop in your Ranch Hand back bumpers?

Most of our Ranch Bumpers back bumpers have a 10” drop. Some of the older models have an 8”.

Will I be able to keep my factory receiver if I use your Ranch Hand back bumper?

With most of our Ranch Hand Legend back bumpers, you will retain your factory receiver, with the exception of the Dodge back bumpers. You will keep your receiver with all our Summit back bumpers.

Do your Ranch Hand back bumpers work with back up sensors?

Our newer '08 Ranch Hand Back Bumpers come with holes to accept back up sensors. If not in use the holes are plugged.

Will your Ranch Hand products work with a body lift?

Our Ranch Hand products will work with a suspension lift, NOT with a body lift.

Will I be able to keep my tow hooks and fog lights with Ranch Hand Front Bumpers?

With most of our Ranch Hand products you will be able to keep your tow hooks and fog lights. There are a few exceptions with older pieces.

Tough Country

Are your Tough Country products available in custom colors?

Yes. Our Tough Country products’ standard finish is a durable high gloss black powder coat finish on most products included in the price(the exceptions are the H2 hummer line and the new Evolution line that come standard with a black wrinkle finish). For many of our Tough Country Products, we also offer a bed liner finish and custom powder coating in a variety of colors for an additional charge.

What is the difference between the Tough Country Deluxe, Traditional, Apache and Evolution front end replacements?

The two main differences are appearance and the amount of protection each model offers.

  • The Deluxe Model offers the most protection because it has a full grille guard top with 1 ¼ light loops along with a 4” pipe base that wraps around the side of the vehicle.
  • The Traditional Model is exactly that, a more traditional looking bumper. It has the same features as most other ranch style bumpers such as full grille guard top with push bar uprights on a 4’’ pipe base along with a little extra Tough Country strength, size, and style.
  • The Tough Country Traditional Model has two vertical uprights that protrude past the 4” pipe that serve as a pushing surface.
  • The Apache Model is built on the same base as the Tough Country Traditional front. The main difference between this model and the others is that the Apache does not offer the protection of a full grille guard top.
  • The Evolution Model is the lightest member of the Tough Country frontend line and a great choice for someone looking for additional vehicle style and protection but not wanting to add a lot of weight.

Will your Tough Country products accept winches?

There is an option to have a winch mount custom built into Tough Country Bumpers. The universal winch mount will except nearly any winch on the market; making it easy for you to interchange winches if necessary. You can also request that a 2” receiver be added to your Tough Country bumper (it is included on the traditional model) that will accept a winch cradle as well as other 2” receiver parts.

Will your Tough Country products interchange between makes and models?

Tough Country products are make and model specific.

What is the drop on your Tough Country back bumpers?

Our Tough Country Deluxe Rear bumpers have a standard 8” drop. You may request a 10” drop so that you have the option of reverse lights or stop light mounted in the bumper.

With your Tough Country rear bumpers, will I retain my factory receiver?

It depends.

  • With the 8’’ drop Tough Country Traditional Rear Bumpers, you will retain your factory receiver, with the exception of the Toyota back bumpers.
  • When you upgrade to our 10” drop Tough Country Traditional Rear Bumper you will lose your factory hitch, but you can purchase a bolt on receiver that will mount to the holes in the plate of the bumper.
  • When you purchase our Tough Country Deluxe Rear Bumper the factory receiver must be removed to install, as it comes with its own flush mount receiver for a better fit.

Do your Tough Country back bumpers accept reverse sensors?

You may request the option for the reverse sensor sleeves on Tough Country back bumpers.

Will your Tough Country products work with a body lift?

Our Tough Country products can be ordered with a 3” a body lift modification as an additional option. This has to be specified at the time of ordering and cannot be added later because the brackets are welded in place.

Will I be able to keep my tow hooks and fog lights with your Tough Country front bumpers?

On most of our Tough Country products you will be able to keep your tow hooks and the products either come standard with fog light mounts or you have the option to add a fog light sleeve. There are a few exceptions with older models.

Frontier Truck Gear

I want to order your Frontier Truck Gear Step Bars. What is the difference between the short wheel based (SWB) and long wheel based (LWB) bars?

Short Wheel Based step bars are made for vehicles with a truck bed that is approximately 6.5ft long. Long Wheel Based step bars are made for vehicles with a truck bed that is approximately 8.5 ft. long. Please measure your truck bed before ordering. As a side note the Frontier Truck Gear Step Bars fit Crew Cab models only (except for the Dodge 1500, 2500, and 3500 2006-2008 Mega Cab models)

Ramsey Winches

How do I determine which of your Ramsey winches I should purchase?

Choosing the right Ramsey winch for your needs may seem complex, but it's actually quite simple. Two pieces of information, vehicle weight and line pull, are required to choose the right winch. To calculate your vehicle's Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), start with the vehicle's curb weight and then add the weight of the supplies and equipment you'll typically be carrying. The rated line pull of the winch must be high enough to pull your vehicle's GVW while overcoming resistance encountered when you are stuck or on an incline. Ramsey recommends that you select a winch with a rated line pull at least 25% greater than your GVW.

Where do I take my Ramsey winch if it needs service, warranty work, or any repairs?

If you have any problems with your Ramsey winch or if your winch needs repair, Ramsey has several authorized service centers throughout the U.S. that have specially trained service technicians that can help you. Please contact us for more information.

Do I ever need to lubricate my Ramsey winch?

All the moving parts in the Ramsey front mount planetary winches are permanently lubricated with high temperature lithium grease at the time of assembly. Under normal conditions factory lubrication will suffice. Consult your owner's manual for specifics.

The product will automatically add to your cart. You may then continue shopping. When you are ready to check out, press the “Checkout” button. This takes you to our secure checkout page. Choose your payment method and then enter your billing, shipping, and contact information. Once you complete your checkout, you will receive an order confirmation email at the email address you provided during checkout. Look at a few popular searches.

You may sign up for a user account at any time during your visit to the site or at the checkout process. This allows you to save your shipping and billing information, and to make future checkout processes faster and more convenient. You may also log in to see status updates in your account and keep track of past orders. The user account also makes it easier for us to contact you with any additional coupon codes or reminders.

Order Tracking

When you place an order with BuiltForTrucks.com, you will receive an order confirmation number for your records. We process our orders on the same day. Because most of our items are custom, our warehouses work diligently to complete each order according to your specifications. This specialization takes time because we work hard to get your order exactly right. Please allow 5 to 8 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) before calling to check on the status of your order. When production is complete and ready to go out for shipping, you will generally receive a shipment tracking number via email and/or in your user account. You may use this number to track your order throughout the shipping process. Some freight carriers may not have tracking numbers available, if you have not received a tracking number within 5 to 8 business days, please contact us for estimated delivery time.

Order Changes

We are unable to make changes to a completed order. Our items are custom-built items and are processed immediately upon ordering. We encourage our customers to make sure their information is accurate, including application, part number, year make and model, personal information is accurate, and that they add all items they need to their order upon placement. If you need an additional item, you are welcome to place a new order with your user account.

Order Cancellation

Because we are working with custom-built items that are processed immediately upon ordering, order cancellation is extremely difficult. While we work quickly to process your request through our warehouses, it may take between 24-48 hours to confirm your request through all levels of our warehouses. For this reason, there are typically no cancellations. All requests for order cancellations must be received within one (1) hour of the initial order or may be subject to a restock fee. Order cancellations under PayPal are not permitted. You may fill out a cancellation request using our online form and await confirmation. Or call us at 888-568-5768.

If the request is not received within one (1) hour of initial order placement, then the item goes immediately into production and typically cannot be cancelled or may be subject to a restock fee. If you have any questions about an item while ordering, please contact one of our friendly Customer Care representatives before placing the order. We will do everything within our power to process your cancellation request. If you have not received cancellation confirmation, it is likely that the item is already in production or has even made it to shipping. In the event that your order is already in construction or has made it to shipping, you may need to consider a return through our Returns office.

Please note that the cancellation forms are time-stamped. Any form submitted beyond one (1) hour of initial order cannot be considered. For phone and online orders, if we have not received a dispute, change, or correction of order within 1 hour of order placement, then order is considered accurate per customer request. All payment for backorder or special order items are due at the time of order so that the product ordered can go into manufacturing and/or production. Estimates on backorders are truly estimates, neither Built For Trucks nor manufacturers, or freight companies are able to make guarantees on production, shipping, or delivery times. In the event of back order or special order item, production estimates may increase (generally 2-8 weeks, depending on manufacturer). Cancellations due to production time increases are not permitted for any reason.
  • For phone and online orders, if we have not received a dispute, change, or correction of order within 1 hour of order placement, then the order will go into processing. No cancellations on special orders.  Built For Trucks reserves to the right to refuse business.
